Michael Child Stephens, born September 18, 1946, in Weber County, Utah,
passed away peacefully from natural causes on September 22, 2025, at Pine View Transitional
Rehabilitation. He was 79 years old.
Michael was the youngest of many children raised by Aldo and Emma
Stephens of Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School. He met and married the love of his
life, Jeri Anne Weaver, on October 1, 1965. Together they raised five children, primarily in Roy, and
were married for over 50 years until her passing from cancer in May of 2016. For nearly a decade after
her death, Michael deeply mourned Jeri, unable to speak of her without shedding tears.
Michael dedicated nearly 40 years to the Air Force as a Logistics
Specialist, excelling in his profession. Throughout his life, he pursued a wide array of hobbies,
including hunting, fishing, golf, photography, biking, and exploring technology. He also devoted many
years to coaching youth football and later served as the Director of Roy Football and the South
Commissioner of the Wasatch Front Football League.
Above all, Michael cherished his family and was a devoted supporter of
his children and grandchildren in all their endeavors.
Michael is survived by his children: Cherie (Jerry) Dammann of Seattle,
Washington; Michele (Cory) Colohan of Roy, Utah; Brad Stephens of Clearfield, Utah; Dustin Stephens of
Portland, Oregon; and Jeremy (Kristen) Stephens of Mesa, Arizona; and many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Miland and Edna Stephens of
Ogden, Utah; his parents, Aldo and Emma Stephens; numerous siblings and their spouses; and, most
profoundly, his beloved wife, Jeri Anne Weaver.
Memorial services will be held at Lindquist Mortuary in Roy, 3333 W. 5600
